Is it really free?
Yes. The PDF downloads instantly when you click the button. No payment, no account, no email address, no upsell on the next page.
Can I actually get divorced in 30 days?
Usually not. Most states impose a mandatory waiting period after filing — anywhere from none to six months or more — and a contested case takes much longer. What 30 focused days does is get you from paralyzed to a filed case or a complete, documented plan, with your decisions made on purpose instead of in a panic.
Is this legal advice?
No. This is general educational information. Hello Divorce is not a law firm, and downloading the guide does not create an attorney-client relationship. Divorce law is set state by state, so confirm anything that matters with your state court’s self-help center or a licensed attorney in your state.
Does it work in my state?
The plan is written for all 50 states. It covers what is the same everywhere — documents, finances, budgets, housing math, parenting plans, disclosure, filing — and Day 5 walks you through finding the specific rules for your state and county on your own court’s website.
Do I still need a lawyer?
That depends on your situation, and the guide helps you answer it. Week 4 compares DIY, online services, mediation, collaborative divorce, and litigation on cost and fit. If there is abuse, a business, hidden assets, or a contested custody question, talk to an attorney.
Can I print it and write in it?
Yes — that is how it is designed. U.S. Letter format, real checkboxes, and ruled worksheets for the inventory, the budget, and your attorney questions.
What if I am not safe at home?
Your safety comes before any paperwork. Call 911 if you are in immediate danger. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788) — free, confidential, and available 24/7. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
